Welcome to
Whimsicult
A little art brand focused on all things whimsically occult! Conjured in 2026 by self-taught artist and soup spoon enthusiast Azy, the brand strives to bring cute comfort items to those who enjoy a dose of magic in their everyday life, whether it be through arcane apparel, peculiar prints, or spellbound stationery!
The Shopkeeper & Artist
Hallo, I'm Azy! I am a self-taught occult fantasy artist with a passion for creating captivating characters and creatures! My style fluctuates between intricate mythical beings straight out of a cursed woodland realm, to little ghostly elves that closely resemble marshmallows.
I created Whimsicult to fulfill a dream I had when I was a twelve-year-old nerd who loved pastel goth anything: the dream of running my own cute little spooky art shop. Of course, being twelve, I could not mentally business, much less remember most of my passwords. So, this idea sat dormant for the next eight years as I focused on drawing intricate original character portraits for myself and friends, with the occasional comic page featuring characters like Grimothy.
In 2020, I finally had the time and resources to contemplate which path I wanted to follow for the next step in my wishful art career. I needed something that would capture the art I truly enjoyed creating, not just what I felt would be most impressive to others. After all, trying the impressive route led to some gnarly burnout! Do not recommend. Instead, happiness and satisfaction had to be prioritized, and it materialized in the form of Whimsicult: a place where my flagship piece, Lunaris, can reside, and my firstborn lich, Grimothy, can mope in the shadowy corners.
F.A.Q
What does "Whimsicult" mean?
I created the name "Whimsicult" by mashing "whimsical" and "occult" together, which conveys the vibe of my artwork perfectly, while also being catchy and memorable! Some may ask if it's a cult due to the word being in the name, to which I will say...
Yes. Yes it is. Submit to the whispers and join us! (we gots sweet tea in the fridge)
Do you use generative AI?
My artwork will always be hand-drawn, not manufactured! Generative AI is not only unethically trained, but it has become increasingly harmful to our environment. This is not something I take lightly, so I will never partake in it. Support your human creatives, not data centers. ♡
Do you accept commissions?
Currently, I am not accepting commissions, as I'd like to focus on the exciting plans I've made for Whimsicult! But, when I do, I'll be sure to make an announcement. So I better see you in my newsletter!
What are your tools of the trade?
My tools consist of a HUION Kamvas Pro 20 pen display and Clip Studio Paint PRO!
